Burnham Juniors Triumph at Arbor Park Tournament

Slough, 31st May – Burnham Junior Wildcats U14 girls secured a thrilling victory at the prestigious Slough Town 5-a-side competition, held at Arbor Park. Competing against over 250 teams and more than 1,500 players, the Wildcats not only showcased their skills but also lifted the trophy in style.

The team proudly debuted their brand-new kit, generously sponsored by the Gerrards Cross & Chalfont St Peter Rotary Club – a winning look that matched their outstanding performance on the pitch.

Burnham Juniors opened their campaign with a confident 2–0 win over Laurel Park. Momentum continued to build with successive 1–0 victories over Binfield Tigresses, Eversley & California, and Beaconsfield Blues, as the team displayed strong defensive discipline and clinical finishing.

In the quarter-finals, the Wildcats faced tournament hosts Slough Town in a heated clash. Despite conceding their first goal of the tournament, the girls responded within 30 seconds to equalise, before sealing a 2–1 victory in front of a partisan crowd.

The semi-final against Beaconsfield Reds ended in a tense penalty shootout, with Burnham emerging victorious 2–0. The final saw a rematch with Binfield, and once again, Burnham held their nerve to win 2–0 on penalties and claim the U14 girls’ title.

It was a day to remember for Burnham Juniors – an emphatic win for the team and a fantastic debut for their new kit.
